Technical Information
Viewing Information
The CD is best viewed in IE 5.5 at a resolution of 1024 x 768. If you have
gotten this far, you probably have not had any problems. Other browsers
can be used to view the pages, provided they are JavaScript enabled. If
you want to upgrade to IE5.5 or Netscape 4.77 I have included them on this
CD. For all those who have preferences with browsers, it is hard to make
sure I that all functions work properly as this is the first time a CD of this
type has been prepared, and due to the time sensitive nature of the data, and my
learning curve, I have tried to present the data as I would on my web
site.
Changing Screen Resolution to 1024 x 758
This CD was prepared for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. In many
cases, when your operating system and monitor drivers were installed, the
resolution is set to a default of 800 x 600. At the resolution
of 800 x 600 the pages may require scrolling to be viewed
properly. To change the resolution of your monitor, go to the
computer desktop, right click and choose Properties. Under the
Settings tab, set the resolution to 1024 x 768 in the screen settings
section. Click Apply to test and click OK if satisfied.
Picture Viewing
During the preparation it was decided to keep the pictures at a high
resolution in order for you, the viewer, to get the best look at the small
details of each airplane or part of the airplane. All the pictures
on the CD have been left at the large resolution. Some of the
pictures have been resized by resampling, while others have been resized
by adjusting the picture while on the page. Most of the
pictures that have been resized by resampling and are linked to a larger
version of the picture. You can access this picture by
double-clicking on the image. The size of the picture may affect the
rate of uploading of the files from the CD. I hope you will
understand this choice, and I believe it is well worth the slight time
difference required to load the image.
Viewing in Netscape Browser
Some of the JavaScript code and Tags are not supported in
Netscape. If you are having issues viewing the Home page, a much simpler
and LESS complicated page is provided.
